Can there be too much Alien stuff....I THINK NOT!  punk rocker

Just when you thought there couldn't be enough new Alien stuff...
A new series of Alien Revoltech figures are on the way from Kaiyodo/Organic Hobby.

These were announced at Wonderfest (Japan).

All we have so far is a box art pic.

Thanks go to plasmid303 for the heads up.
I didn't know what Revoltech was, but here's his explanation:

"For those who don't know what Revoltech is, they are a [big] series of non-scale action figures by Kaiyodo and Organic Hobby. They utilize neat little clicky "Revolver joints", so loose floppy joints are not a problem. They are around 5-7" each."

Here's a link to coverage of Kaiyodo's Revoltech figures so you can get a feel for what these figures will be like:

http://www.dannychoo.com/blog_entry/eng/1386/Kaiyodo/

Here's the box art pic:

I wonder if that was on purpose ... had there been a dome, it could've been mistaken for the avp or other kind of aliens -- the ribs imply the warrior, but the details of the skull are nice to show in profile -- I think they just didn't want to complicate a brief silhouette teaser with another detail for the dome - maybe just an at-a-glance visual to imply the o.g. alien -- that was my initial thought when I noticed the dome missing as well...then again, they could've simply forgot - after all, the graphic artis who created it isn't necessarily a fan of alien -

Funny, isn't it, that both these guys and Medicom decided not to show their alien figures at the Tokyo show.

I wonder why that is...

I was hoping I didn't miss any pics from the tokyo toy show this year

Yeah, same here.

Thanks dude.  But seriously, it's not just me.

I get alot of help from all the other Alien/Pred fans out there, and sometimes I'm just in the right place at the right time.

But, I do spend a HELLUVA lot of time on the ol' internet looking for this stuff.  whistle

Alright, nice sculpt and all but... I don't see any revoltech joints. Or any joints, really. A little weird.

Oh and hey everyone, I'm new, wassup?

Welcome to The Hive NecronomIV.  cheers

I really think this is just a prototype sculpt and is not the finished fig.

I'm sure the finished piece will have the high poseability of the regular Revoltechs and nicer paint job.

That's what I was thinking. I hope that's the case, I want something cool to put next to my Megatron and NECA Alien.

I went ahead and linked the guys over at the toys board on 4chan to this thread so they could see your pics, hope you don't mind.

Good to know bro. I've been checking out this site for a few days and thought I might as well join and start posting. Cool site, but I wish there was a fanart subforum. I made a sketch of Giger's Alien a while back on some Latin notes and want to see what everyone thinks of it.

Regardless it's good to know I'm welcomed   yahoo dance

Does anybody else get a bit of Medi-alien vibe here?

Yeah, there's some definate similarities between this and the Medicom Alien.

The Revoltech Alien sculpt seems to be based on this artwork done for the 3 ft. Alien puzzle...
