Hey demorathis, I can answer question 1. and 4. for ya. The hands do detach, but be gentle. Holding the figure up to a strong light source, it appears that the entire figure was molded in a dark gray/black translucent plastic save for the joints. Looks great. Love the subtle striations on the shoulder tubes. Hope that helps.

Im waiting on 5 myself =)

I want a few to pose in my fave poses next to his bigger counterparts

the box pose,
the stoop position,
the "i'm-walking-really-slowly-toward-you-but-you're-too-scared-stiff-to-run" pose,
the "I'm-relaxing-in-plain-sight-but-I-blend-right-in" pose
etc

Hi Everybody,
If you are interested, I made a video review of this amazing figure here. BTW instead of previewing in the little window below, you can double click it to open a new window and watch in 1080p HiDef ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STDF81nYb-w

Its the only true Alien Action-figure that I have at the moment but boy do I want more now! I'll definitely get the Revoltech Alien Queen and Predator when they hit the store shelves. Can someone tell me how this particular guy stacks up when compared to the other companies Alien action figure products such as from Necca and what have you? Although I haven't the others to compare directly, I', suspecting this figure blows away everything that has come before it! Gimme action figures of the entire Nostromo crew! (including Jones!)

Well this is a fantastic figure -- the details are pretty DEAD ON the dome only sticks out as a result of its  thickness around the face, but it works...there is no surface texture over the smooth areas between raised details -- but thats where the paint and translucencey really stand out...
the proportions on this bad boy are incredible...the overall  shape of the head is perfect -- the dome is almost identical to the tiny konami dome -- in construction and color (glittery "moisture" shimmer painted in and the black)
I daresay the head is more accurate (though not as precise 0 kinf of sculpterly) than the neca -- and the skull "ribs" are painted in very cleanly (unlike the "sharpie" drawn look of the Neca - that's what it looks like to me anyway - as much as I love that figure...)
The paint job on the head is more akin to the skynet aoshima figure...

The tongue could be longer...

but the paint job, the material everything about this is QUALITY -- every bit worth the 25-30 bucks you pay for...

I know what you mean -- the post office tracking stated for 5 days that it was inbound to customs...surprisingly it had already arrived -- I LOOOVE this figure...

I just hope they do Godzilla (they have Baragon now from Toho),
Darth Vader...
Universal Monsters...
Batman...

As far as I know, nothing, he did a brief "review" of the figure- more like just raved over it on camera, - he was a creature consultant on Jedi, and worked on few other projects like Gremlins, Enemy Mine, but I guess it's just one of those - seal of approval type of things -- personally, I think they shouldve shown this to Giger, he'd be pleased and I loves seeing other's interpretations or versions of his designs...
It'd have been cool!

this thing is surprisingly durable!!
The pliable vinyl can take more abuse than the PVC used in the revoltech Macross veritech robots from the first releases...but don't be too rough on it...

the base says
"E-RI-A-N" -(ALIEN) "1979" (that one's obvious) "YO-RI" -- don't know what the yori means
