Hi guys, I have a question only you can answer:
Recently I purchased the NECA nine inch Alien Drone from the first Alien movie. (the one that you don't assemble)
Well, I got it out of its fiddly package and took a look. As I moved the arm (or at least tried) it simply snapped off.
Luckily I lived near the store and got it returned and replaced.
Round 2:
I was very careful this time, and realized that almost all his joints are stiff to the point of being unmovable.
So, I would like to hear if similar things happened with this product to other members here, and if you have solutions to the stiffness problem.
Thanks guys  respekt

Personally didn't own this piece - have that big 20' monstaa, but few of my friends had to glue parts in this guy, so as I see it's the whole run issue. The best thing is to  (very carefully  roll on floor laugh) make a position You want and then treat it like a statue.

Well, I would do that, but the joints are so stiff you can't put him in a pose! Thanks anyway

The best thing is that probably most of them got in the hands of children... total destruction ?  punk rocker

Go to this shop, order the seller to pose the figure for You. If something's broken, then he would have to bring another and try one more time. If finally the figure is posed as You wanted, take it home and be proud. That's my solution  smoker

Run all of the stiff joints under VERY hot water.

Try moving them after they've warmed up a bit.

Works for me.

No - I really mean ME  (I don't have the figure).

I also had this problem but with the NECA Predalien and the 20" Alien, both right arms broke, brought them back.

Hot water is your best freind in this case.

Agreed, dunk the articulations into hot water and move them carefully, that should do the trick.

Hi Big Hug!

Predator Hunter here. I'm a newbie. Hello everyone!!

I bought the NECA 9 inch alien figure also.
On mine the right leg and head snapped off as well.

I plan on sending the broken figure back to NECA and demanding that  I want a refund or an Alien figure that doesn't break!!

Maybe if enough people do this and hit them in the wallet NECA will get their act together!!

         THANX!!! The Predator Hunter.

When you say VERY hot water, do you reckon I should use boiling water or just simmering or what?

As hot as you can stand it.

I've heard of people using boiling water and I've heard of others just using hot water running from the tap.

Whatever you decide...please be VERY careful not to burn yourself.  hospital

@ Ornicar: You drew that? It was in the Avatar section, and I liked it so I used it.
Great picture!
