Damn great work Les!
Love the changes.  Especially the new tongue.

And that Ripley is AMAZING!  Killer work dude.

Well...my HT "Big Chap" took a header off of his shelf today.  No damage...luckily.

So, in reposing him trying to find a more stable pose, I figured I'd snap a few more pics for you guys.

I also decided to take a few with the Hot Toys original 1:4 Alien bust.
Since they were both sculpted by the same sculptor, I thought it would be interesting to see some comparisons.

Closeup of my ALIEN's mouth fixes.
Changed out the inner tongue with the MacFarlane one, sort of closed the mouth on it first, and trimmed and rounded it a bit, to fit inside the HT mouth better, but here are some detail shots of it done. Might come back and redo all the teeth. Been thinking of that since I got it. Anyway, here's the mouth...

and you can see the joint between the tongues in this one (it hardly shows up in regular lighting, the flash brings it out)

That's the best Ripley I've seen yet!

Thanks. Here is the recipe for her:

Body- 21st Century Matilda Assassin

Head- Sideshow Art S. Buck, female lower lip trimmed, dark brown mohair curls applied in patterns on painted head.

Inner T- thin, sleeveless T (hard to see)

Panties- Not sure what brand, but right shape, as in thong like.

Green T- I think it was actually from the old Hasbro? Colonial Marine figure that came with an Alien. Had to remove the sleeves due to tightness in the jumpsuit. Recommend a tank T for a figure.

White shirt- generic white button up. Chose for the collar. Painted grey-pink on trim. Added printed Nostromo insignia on left breast. Added white holder loops on left breast. Hard to see both of those, so add at your own descretion.

Jumpsuit- GI Joe Female Helicopter pilot suit. Removed chest Velcro. Will replace zipper pull eventually.

Socks- should be white. Note in scene where she props up at the computer and tries to interpret the alien message once the crew deploys to the Derelict. Mine are olive drab. Might change eventually.

Shoes- mine are from the Character Options 10th Doctor figure. There are some close available at Cotswold. See here: http://www.gijoeelite.com/f_itemPart.asp?strPart=GIZC-026

My friend just surprised me with one of these as a late Christmas present!!  What an excellent gift!  What i like about it is the fact that it isn't shiny.  The rubber makes it look really nice!  It looks very nice and in scale with my Hot Toys Dallas and Kane he gave me last Christmas.  I'm digging it a lot!!!!   punk rocker  dancing   dancing banana   yahoo dance

Thanks Alien_tattoo!  dancing
From any of you, such comments mean much to me.
Funny part is, I have been SO behind on other work the last two years, she languished, almost completed, for about three years. Ask Abake!  yes Anyway, once the Big Chap was in hand, somehow, she magically was complete within a day or two. I simply couldn't have here there, unfinished, with him there too. No way.
Best of luck to anyone else working on one. If you need comments on hair or whatever, let me know. I just carefully glued mohair onto the bald buck head using Beacon Adheasives brand Fabric Tac glue (clear and stringy, makes GOOD ALien drool or egg slime also!). Used some burnt umber paint to touch up spots where the glue showed, it leaves some spots or shiney bits, and that was it. I prefered applied hair over a wig, since I could control how the shape and curls go. Couldn't get ALL the curls in there, but a lot.

Anyway, thanks.

One other thing, I wish you guys using the bendy hands would simply take time to futz them some. Flat, they look lifeless, and a little forced bending of the thumbs inward towards the palms more, and some slight bends at the knuckles and tips here and there, will make them look SO much better! Try it! You'll be glad you did! Note the closeup of mine in the last pic above...adds some life to them. And posed so, they look much more movie accurate to me than the solid preposed ones also provided.

Is anyone else worried that the mouth ligaments will snap?
When I opened mine, I thought it was tearing -- but I think the paint had just separated looking like a tear...
I only have one other alien and it's fine, but it being so thin, I can't help but think it'd snap...
I hope they engineered it so that the tolerance length for the stress is far longer than the mouth is able to open...
any one have any solid info on this?
Thanks

I won't even try to get pics like some of you guys.
But here is my big chap, I love the ball pose and it really is nice to have something in a more unusual and dare I say.. alien pose.
